Mac OSX Leopard and Adobe Video Apps Compatibility
Posted on: October 27, 2007
Last night Apple released Mac OSX 10.5, affectionately known as Leopard. While Apple has posted a very nice video tour on its site, as well as a list of 300 features in Leopard, most of us using our machines for work aren’t going to even consider upgrading until we know it won’t break any of our existing essential software. For me that list definitely includes Adobe CS3 Production Premium. Luckily, Adobe released a 6 page PDF document that directly addresses the compatibility issues between its CS3 apps and Leopard. In a nutshell, expect an update for each of the Adobe Video apps sometime in December. My advice, wait until Adobe releases its updates before you upgrade to Leopard.
In the meantime, I’m watching my buddy Terry White’s Blog as he is personally checking the compatibility of each of the apps he uses with Leopard. He’s already found that Lightroom 1.2 has a major problem with Leopard in that you can’t access the Print module!
